ICC guests may use the the open-air parking lot (recommended) OR the roofed parking lot, both easily accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities. Select on Waze Binyaney Hauma Parking lot.
Rate: NIS 60 per day
– The open parking lot is open 24/7 (recommended, in order to be able to stay until the end of sessions on each day)
– The roofed parking lot (חניון מקורה) is open from 07:00 to 19:00 only
The official language of ICS85 is English.
Climate & Clothing
The weather in Jerusalem in February is cold, occasional rain, it rarely snows. Temperatures range from 6°C to 13°C (43°F to 55°F). Casual dress is appropriate for all occasions.
Holders of EU, USA, and Canadian passports do not need an entry visa to Israel. For participants from other countries, we suggest you check with your travel agent or local Israeli embassy/consulate. The procedure may be lengthy and it is recommended to apply for a visa approx. 3 months prior to the Meeting.
All visitors to Israel must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date they enter the country.
Please contact the Meeting Secretariat to obtain a letter of invitation to assist in applying for a visa. Additional information on visa requirements can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Taxis to/from Jerusalem and Ben-Gurion International Airport
Taxis are freely available outside the Airport terminal. Fares from/to Jerusalem are approx. US$ 85 per car. A 25% surcharge for night trips is in effect from 21:01 until 05:29 and from 14:00 on Fridays and on Saturdays.
Public Transportation to/from ICC
You may use all trains, busses and local Jerusalem light train lines which reach the Central Bus Terminal in Jerusalem, which is at a 5 minutes walk from the ICC.
Public transportation (trains & buses) in Israel do not operate from Friday afternoon (one hour before sundown) until Saturday evening (one hour after sunset). For specific bus lines, please use the Moovit application on the smartphone.
Train – Get off at the Itzhak Navon Station (opposite the ICC)

Wi-Fi free of charge will be available for ICS85 participants in the convention floor (session halls and exhibition area).
The Israeli power supply is single phase 220 volts at 50 Hertz. Most power sockets in Israel have three pin holes, but many of them will work with double-pin European plugs. Visitors who want to use shavers, traveling irons, and other small appliances may need both transformers and adaptor plugs.
The currency unit in Israel is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS – “Shekel” in short). International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at Ben-Gurion International Airport. We recommend that you change some money at the airport for immediate needs.
Liability and Insurance
The Meeting Secretariat and Organizers will be exempt from all liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
